We’re pleased to share some exciting news about an ongoing fundraising program for our school. It’s called “scrip”, and it’s the fundraising program that works while you shop and involves no selling!

What is Scrip?

Scrip is another name for gift certificates or gift cards. They are the same gift certificates that you would buy at the store.  Many popular retailers participate in our scrip program.  St. Matthew’s purchases the gift certificates from local and national merchants at a discount and makes a profit when the gift certificates are sold at face value.  The scrip is used at the merchants for the full face value.

And scrip is exciting, because everybody wins:
 ●  Our school gets a powerful fundraising alternative that involves no selling.
 ●  St. Matthew’s gives 50% of the profit back to the parents in the form of tuition credit.

Using scrip you can put your regular household shopping dollars to work.  You earn money for our school without spending a single additional penny.  And you reduce your tuition at the same time.  Just spend your regular shopping dollars with scrip at the stores that participate in the scrip program!  And scrip can be used for just about any household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and dining out.  Family and friends can also purchase scrip and the credit can be applied to your family.  Also scrip makes great teacher, birthday, and Christmas presents, etc.! 

When is Scrip Sold?

Scrip is sold every morning before school and after school on Fridays.  An order can be sent in to school any day of the week with your child and it will be filled that day. 

Scrip is also sold after the Saturday 4:30pm Mass and after the 9:00am & 11:00am Mass on Sundays in the Server's Sacristy located behind Mary's altar.  We try to keep sufficient inventory on hand. For large orders please give us a few days notice so we may accommodate your needs. 

How Do I Order Scrip?

Click here to view and print our In Stock Scrip Order Form.  Orders can be sent in to school any day of the week with your child and it will be filled that day.  Included with our In Stock scrip form is a special order scrip form from Great Lakes Scrip Center. This form includes all the scrip that can be special ordered for you.  Orders are placed every two weeks. 

When placing an order, please fill out the top of the order form completely including a daytime phone number. This will ensure that your family receives proper credit and will help us reach you if there are any questions about your order.  If you have any questions or comments, email Lisa Brammer.

When Are Credits Distributed?

Scrip credits are calculated once each year. Scrip purchases from May 1st through April 30th are applied to the following year’s school tuition.
