St. Matthew Cathedral School maintains the highest academic standards while providing for the individual needs of all students.  ISTEP scores are consistently above the state average, and many of our students qualify to be part of enrichment programs for accelerated students.  In the past 20 years, 30 alumni have been valedictorians or salutatorians at local high schools and colleges.  Band and music competitions, science fair exhibits, Title I services, special education and speech therapy are an integral part of the curriculum.

Fully accredited by the Indiana Department of Education, all our teachers are licensed.  Seventy percent have Master's degrees, many serving on the faculty for more than a decade.  Throughout their tenure, teachers are encouraged to participate in Continuing Education Courses to maintain a high level of the latest educational advancements.
